Getting
your house in order the easy way - 5 Reasons to re organise your
home:
|
|
There are a number
of major upheavals in life that can affect you, which mean you need
to totally re-organise your life and your home. Which are affecting
you? |
Down sizing
People chose to downsize
for various reasons, to release equity, to start over or want
something smaller for retirement.
But where do you start sorting out the things you need, and the
things you want to keep from the items you want to let go?
Then where to you keep all your treasures & memories if you
don’t have the space in the new place?
|
The Move
So you need to move
because the house is getting too small? When you find somewhere
bigger all your belongings will have plenty of space. But in the
meantime, you need to get the house ready for sale and as it’s
now looking very over crowded, what do you do with it all? Will
your potential buyers think the house is too small too and not
buy?
|
The Conversion
Many people are choosing
to convert the garage or the loft space, but with all that valuable
storage space now gone, where do you put all the things you once
kept there?
|
|
The Renovation
Where do your furniture
and belongings go when you are looking to renovate the house? Maybe
you are having a new kitchen or a damp course put in. Where do you
start?

Working from home
Many people are doing
it, either a couple of days a week or as a small home based business.
Now there’s all that paperwork you need to keep on top of,
file and keep for the long run. How do you get & keep organised
and find the space to do that without upsetting the household?

| How
to get rid of the things you don't want to keep and how to store
the things you do: |
|
Recycle!
Phone your local council to find out where your nearest recycling
centre is, then plan a trip with separate boxes of aluminium or
steel cans, glass and plastic bottles, newspapers, magazines - even
old engine oil!
Charity
shop.
Phone the shop first to see if they
want what you would like to give them - some shops even collect.
Make sure the items are clean and usable. |
Car-boot
or sell on line.
Decide on prices before you arrive and be prepared to haggle!
Try to avoid rainy days. Essentials include a flask of tea, a
trestle table, a folding chair. Remember the objective of your
day is to get rid of as much as possible. Try not to bring any
of it back again. Anything left over can go to the charity shop!
Sell
your clutter at JunkRooms.co.uk
Selling on line it saves you
time and effort and you won't get wet!
|
Pack
it away.
For furniture and belongings that may be needed later. The loft,
garage or shed is the best place for storage - NOT THE SPARE ROOM!
For even more secure
storage space, self storage with Access is the solution.
