To find a tenant or accommodation of any kind, you
can first
look at the adverts that are already on our web
pages.
All
our property rental adverts carry contact information
so that you can quickly get in touch with any advertisers
that are likely to be of interest to you.
All
free adverts have their own phone number which you
ring to contact the advertiser. The phone number is
not the advertiser's own 'real' phone number but it
does ring their own phone. (We redirect to the advertiser's
own phone via their individual LAPS - LetaLife Advertisers
Privacy System - number which is unique to that advert
while it is published online for a maximum of 6 weeks
duration).
You
can tell how old the advert is because the date it
was placed is on the advert.
We
charge callers who respond to adverts on our site
a bit more than usual on their calls. For more information

Standard
£10 adverts may have an email address as well
as the LAPS number or instead of the LAPS number.
The email address is in a format to deter automated
spammers. You will need to type the address into your
email system to send an email. It won't work just
by clicking it.
Put
your own advert on LetaLife
If you don't find an advert to suit your requirements
then please
place a property rental advert of your own. It
is best if you provide a landline number for folk
to contact you on as there are less problems associated
with landlines for callers. Most callers don't mind
leaving a message on an answerphone if you let them
know on your advert that they may need to do so. It
is also best to give a suitable time for callers to
contact you for your own and their convenience.
Holiday
rental accommodation on LetaLife

If
you want to place an advert either because you are
looking for self catering foreign holiday accommodation
or you have a villa, gite or other accommodation to
let out overseas you can find the link to place the
advert on the page linked to above.
If
you want to place a paid £10 standard advert
you will need a credit or debit card ready to make
your payment.
The
payment process system.
We spent a lot of time choosing a suitable secure
online payment system and eventually decided on WorldPay
because they were a part of the Royal Bank of Scotland
Group. As always your privacy and security were our
top priorities and you can remain assured that they
are protected to the very highest standards.
At
no point do we see any of your card details, the page
is completely secure and the only people who get to
see your card details are the bank. You can tell it
is secure because of the little padlock symbol at
the bottom of the page.
Removing
your advert.
As soon as your advert has done its work for you,
you can remove it yourself (free advertisers need
to use the link sent to their email when the advert
is approved to go online) or if you are a paid £10
standard advertiser you can either use your link or
email us and request that the advert is removed for
you.
Solving problems you may occasionally have
using LetaLife.
No
answer when you call.
Sometimes people have problems getting through on
the LAPS number. Remember that the number redirects
through to a real person's phone. Often these are
not letting agents but ordinary members of the public.
So they may not always be available to take your call.
We
try and encourage people to say when is most convenient
for callers but sometimes things happen and they are
not always there when they say they will be. So you
may need to try at different times.
Can't
get through or number unobtainable.
Sometimes the number is redirecting to a mobile phone
and there may be a bad signal or the phone may be
switched off. You may get through if you try again
at a different time.
Another problem can be because the phone system you
are calling from has call barring in place. Even though
LAPS numbers are not classed as premium numbers by
OFCOM, call barring systems to prevent calls to premium
numbers can be a bit heavy handed and may prevent
callers from accessing 'personal numbering systems'
such as the LAPS numbers. So you may need to call
from a different phone system. This is most often
the reason why some people can't get through on a
LAPS number when they call from their work phone.
But
the most common problem for failing to get through,
or getting through to the wrong person is caused by
mistakenly dialling the wrong number. Please take
care and dial carefully - we have no wish for you
to spend money on a misdialled call. We want you to
find the tenant or landlord or agent that you need,
and then we hope you will tell people what a good
service we provided you with.
Can't use the LAPS system because you are
overseas.
If you wish to find tenants or property to rent and
you are outside the UK - you need to place
an advert using the 'standard'
advert form for the area you are interested in. That
way you can use an email address as a contact method.
